Keep a Vodafone CallYa number active abroad: unused longer than 90 days can be terminated, with an SMS and 4 weeks to object.

CallYa's own help page starts the unused clock at 90 days. Keep a Vodafone CallYa number active abroad inside that window. An SMS follows, then four weeks to object, then a lock.

90 days unused, then an SMS

The CallYa help page, fetched 28 September 2026, states the keep-alive in the Gültigkeit accordion: "Dein CallYa-Tarif ist unbefristet gültig. Du hast CallYa länger als 90 Tage nicht genutzt? Dann können wir es kündigen. Du bekommst dazu eine SMS. Willst Du CallYa behalten? Dann hast Du 4 Wochen Zeit, der Kündigung zu widersprechen." The tariff is unlimited in time. Unused longer than 90 days, Vodafone can terminate. An SMS. Four weeks to object, and the page says the SMS tells you how.

That 90 is unused days on CallYa. o2's product page, on a different network, prints 6 months for the SIM. The 90 stays on this help page.

After the four weeks

The CallYa help page then states the lock: "Ist die Frist abgelaufen, sperren wir CallYa. Du kannst Dir Dein Guthaben dann auszahlen lassen." After the objection window they lock CallYa. Remaining credit can be paid out. The page tells you to contact them.

The drawing on this card is day 90 as the warning. The lock sits after those four weeks. Four weeks plus 90 days would be arithmetic, and this card leaves that sum undrawn. Telekom's January AGB counts a month from a termination notice. The remainder right under TKG 64 is the refund after the contract ends, which is the job of that lock-then-payout sentence on this page.

Keep CallYa

Count unused days from last use, as the help page's 90-day sentence does.
Treat the SMS as the termination they can send after those 90 days.
The objection window on that accordion is 4 weeks, and the page says the SMS explains the objection.
After that window they lock CallYa, and remaining credit can be paid out by contacting them.
