Keep a Telekom prepaid number active abroad: the January 2025 AGB lets Telekom terminate a no-minimum-term contract with one month's notice.

The January 2025 prepaid AGB is the Telekom file we could read. Keep a Telekom prepaid number active abroad on that notice rule. One month is counted from the notice.

One month from the notice

The Telekom prepaid AGB, dated 9 January 2025, states 9 b: "Ein Vertragsverhältnis ohne Mindestvertragslaufzeit kann der Kunde ohne Einhaltung einer Frist kündigen. Von der Telekom kann das Vertragsverhältnis mit einer Frist von einem Monat gekündigt werden." A contract without a minimum term: the customer may terminate without a notice period. Telekom may terminate with one month's notice.

That month starts when Telekom gives notice. It is not an inactivity day count measured from last use. 30 days on this card is arithmetic from that month; 9 b prints one month. Search results that attach 15 Monate to a Telekom validity-help URL are a different document. curl of telekom.de/hilfe/mobilfunk/prepaid/gueltigkeit-guthaben returned a 491-byte shell on 28 September 2026, and a later curl the same evening timed out (exit 28). WebFetch of that URL was empty. Those 15 months stay unquoted.

9 f of the same AGB states the refund: "Der Kunde hat nach Vertragsbeendigung Anspruch auf Erstattung eines eventuellen entgeltlich erworbenen bzw. aufgeladenen Restguthaben. Von der Telekom unentgeltlich überlassenes Guthaben (geschenktes Guthaben) wird nicht erstattet." After the contract ends, a claim to refund paid or topped-up remainder. Gifted credit is left out of that refund.

o2's product page gives 3 months after deactivation to collect remainder. Telekom 9 f is the claim at contract end. The remainder right under TKG 64 is the statute under both.

  • Read 9 b as Telekom's one-month notice on a contract without a minimum term, counted from the notice.
  • Stay inside a live contract if the number still matters. This AGB prints no published top-up interval for that.
