Keep a Jazz number active abroad from the prepaid bullets under the voluntary-block question. Those bullets cap a voluntary block at 90 days, then say the number should be reactivated within 90 days of the last charged activity, and then say that after 90 days the number may be permanently blocked and reissued. The balance answer, a different question on the same FAQ, says the prepaid balance does not expire.

The 90 days stay inside the voluntary-block answer

Jazz's FAQ, checked 3 October 2026, under For Prepaid in the answer to how you get the number blocked voluntarily, states: "Number should be reactivated with in maximum 90 days from last charged activity (such as outgoing Call, SMS or Mobile Internet usage)." Jazz prepaid 90 days from the last charged activity is that bullet, and the page prints with in as two words. The bullet before it says you can get the prepaid number voluntarily blocked for a maximum of 90 days. The examples in the parentheses are an outgoing call, an SMS and mobile internet use. Whether a call placed while roaming counts as that charged activity is unverified.

The Pakistan page keeps this list next to Zong's table and Ufone's two pages, because those day counts are not this answer.

After 90 days the number may be permanently blocked

The next bullet in that same prepaid list, still inside the voluntary-block answer, is the reissue bullet. The same FAQ states: "After 90 days, number may be permanently blocked (re-issued to a new customer) as per policy". The verb on the page is may. The FAQ opened on 3 October 2026 does not print 180.

Zong is the card where 180 days appears, as a reserved right after dormancy, on a different company's terms.

The prepaid balance does not expire

A different question on the same FAQ asks whether the prepaid balance expires if you do not use it, and states: "Prepaid balance does not expire and has unlimited validity even if you do not perform any activity (Calls, SMS, Data)." The Jazz prepaid balance does not expire, on that answer. It does not say the number stays. The 90-day bullets remain under the voluntary-block question, for prepaid, and they are the ones that mention reissue.

The options page is where this hold sits next to parking the number or letting it go.
